Proceedings of the Art Museum of Estonia is a peer-reviewed journal that is published once a year. The journal publishes original research papers on art, art history and visual culture, including conference presentations and studies on the museum’s collections and exhibitions. The illustrated journal is multilingual (Estonian and English/German). It has an international editorial board.
The scientific journal grew out of conference collections and has been published since 2006; it became a periodical in 2011. The current editor-in-chief is Ivar-Kristjan Hein (since 2019), while the previous editors-in-chief have been Merike Kurisoo (2013–2018) and Tiina-Mall Kreem (2011–2012).
The issue will be based on the conference Women Artists in Baltic and Nordic Museums, which was held at the Kumu Art Museum.
Due to national emergency, all branches of the Art Museum of Estonia are temporarily closed until 1 May 2020.
